Frequently Asked Questions
What is poultry brooding paper (chick paper)?
Poultry brooding paper, or chick paper, is placed on the floor of brooding houses for the first few days of a chick's life. It provides grip to prevent leg splaying, absorbs moisture and creates a hygienic surface, improving early chick health.
How many days should brooding paper be used?
Brooding paper is typically used for the first 5 to 7 days after chicks are placed, after which it is removed as the chicks adapt to the litter floor.
